This project focuses on upgrading the exterior and energy efficiency of townhome complexes through a comprehensive recladding process. By incorporating cementitious panel siding, the homes gain a fresh, durable, and modern aesthetic, enhancing their curb appeal while ensuring long-lasting protection. A key element of the upgrade is the addition of 2” of semi-rigid insulation to the perimeter of the buildings and the replacement of the windows and doors, significantly improving the thermal efficiency of the building envelope and therefore reducing energy consumption. In addition to the insulation, necessary repairs have been made to the exterior walls to ensure structural integrity. As part of the recladding process, the townhomes are being updated to feature a cohesive exterior design, aligning with the materials and style of other buildings in the area. This revitalization project is being carried out across five different areas, including Youngstown, Rundle II and I, Richfield, and Dickens Field, ensuring each complex is brought up to modern standards while enhancing overall neighborhood cohesion.
